The Fuselage and Cockpit

The Fuselage is the main body of the aircraft. It contains the cockpit and passengers, or cargo, depending on what type of airplane it is. The cockpit is where the pilots fly the aircraft, and contains the necessary equipment to control the aircraft. The yoke steers the plane, by controlling the ailerons when turned, or the elevators, when pushed or pulled. The throttle controls the thrust, and various buttons and switches control the flaps, landing gear, and other components. The landing gear is the part of the plane which supports the aircraft while not in the air.  Whether it be wheels, pontoons, or anything else. On some aircraft, in order to maximize speed, the landing gear is retractable. More about landing gear can be read here.
